Variometer+ is a highly responsive variometer designed for use with your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is suitable for various activities such as paragliding, hang gliding, and aviation.

Displays ground speed and altitude in relation to sea level and take-off

Allows modification of gauge maximum and minimum values based on your activity

About the algorithm:
This variometer employs a sophisticated mathematical technique known as ‘Sensor fusion’ to achieve its high level of responsiveness. By combining data from various sensors on your devices, accuracy and responsiveness are significantly enhanced. This innovative feature was developed in collaboration with researchers from the University of Louvain in Belgium.
Due to the algorithm's complexity and efficiency, substantial computational resources are required. As a result, optimal responsiveness is primarily achievable on more recent devices, although the app remains functional but less responsive on older models.
